KUVA: Ann (Armitage) 1947 - 2012 - Our beloved Ann passed away peacefully on July 28th at the age of 64 in Edmonton, AB. She was born in Miniota, MB in 1947. Ann went to university in Winnipeg where she earned degrees in English and Education and met her husband Dave. She moved to Edmonton in 1973, where she started a family and had a fulfilling career as an educator and counselor. She was an active member of Rio Terrace Moravian Church for many years and later earned a master's degree in Pastoral Counseling. She was committed to empowering women through her work. Ann cultivated meaningful relationships with friends and family. She was known for her wisdom, humor, hospitality, compassion, and warm presence. She was also passionate about reading, sewing, cooking and deep conversation. Ann will be forever loved by her husband Dave; her children Elizabeth (Sung Nam) and John; her grandson Jasper; her sisters Elinor, Beth and Carol, and many other friends and family. A celebration of Ann's life will be held on Saturday, August 4th at 1:00 p.m. at Rio Terrace Moravian Church, 15108 - 76 Avenue.
