FLEMING: Ella May Fleming - March 1, 1923 - July 22, 2012It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Ella May Fleming on July 22, 2012. Ella was born and raised in Shoal Lake, MB, daughter of Mary and Robert Chambers. Ella married Roy Fleming in 1942 in Shoal Lake where they farmed until 1957. The family moved to Onanole in 1959. She lived and worked in the Onanole area for the rest of her life, finding employment as a seamstress, at Lee's Bungalows and the Elkhorn Resort. Her hobbies were knitting, sewing and painting. Ella was a member of the local Women's Institute and the United Church. Ella was predeceased by her husband Roy and son Donald. She is survived by her son Robert "Larry", son Eldon and children Andrea, Joshua and Caleb, son Brian wife Sherri and children Bradley, Danielle (Jason), and Tieghen, son Neil wife Kim and children Troy and Sean. A special thank you to all the medical professionals and healthcare providers for taking care of our mother and grandmother during her illness. A public graveside service will take place at the Onanole Cemetery on August 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. There will also be a gathering following the service that will be announced at the gravesite for those who wish to meet and pay their respects.
