BYCZKOWSKI: It is with great sorrow that the family of Agnieszka (Agnes) Byczkowski announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother on September 21, 2013. Agnes was born on December 29th, 1930 in Czarniz, Poland. She was the daughter of Wladyslaw and Franciszka. Her first husband passed away in Poland. Later she came to Canada to marry Walter Byczkowski on March 19, 1988. Walter passed away in November, 2001. Mom resided in Canada for 23 years. In 2011, she returned to Poland to visit her children and grandchildren where she remained until her death. Agnes enjoyed many treasures in her lifetime including gardening and spending time with her circle of friends. Agnes had left Poland to marry our dad in Canada but she always made time to visit and call her children in Poland. Her family and friends were what she treasured most. Mom always had time for a visit and her smile was quite infectious. She also enjoyed sitting down and putting a puzzle together – there was no puzzle that was too much of a challenge for her. Predeceasing mom is her stepson Terry Byczkowski. Mourning her death are her stepchildren: Marilyn (Bob) Reid; Jim Byczkowski; her daughters Teresa (Ernie) Janzen; Tracy Bryant; and Patricia (Kelvin) Siemens; and her daughter-in- law, Carma Byczkowski; Agnes is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also mourning our Mom’s death are her children in Poland: Boguslaw Osowski, Jozef Osowski, Halina Gierszelwska, Miroslaw Osowski, Jan Osowski and their respective families. A memorial service for Agnes Byczkowski will be held at St. Augustine’s Church, 327-4 Street, Brandon, MB on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Celebrant will be Father Kevin Smith.
