JORDAN: Vernon Fredrick Jordan, March 30th, 1951 - August 28th, 2014. It is with great sadness we announce Vern’s passing at Clear Lake, MB. Vern was born in Dauphin and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He began his career and passion for mechanics at Powell Equipment, Winnipeg, MB. From 1982 to 2007 Vern taught heavy duty mechanics and electronics at Assiniboine Community College in Brandon, MB. Vern was passionate about his community and for several years was councillor at the RM of Park and put in countless hours for his constituents. Vern is predeceased by his father Frederick, mother, Marion and father-in-law, Jim Koppinger. He leaves to mourn his wife Kris, Vern’s son Dean, and daughter Kelly (Tyler) Murrell, sister Teresa (John) Usackis, brother Duane (Christine), mother-in-law Helen Koppinger, Jackson his devoted furry buddy, and numerous friends. A Celebration of life will be held at Onanole and District Community Recreation Centre Friday, September 5th at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Onanole Trails Committee c/o PO Box 190 Onanole, MB. ROJ 1N0.
