FEE: Vera Kathleen Fee (Muirhead). In the fading hours of March 15th, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Vera surrendered her last breath and entered into rest. She will be remembered with love by her children Daryle (Cynthia) McCaw and Doreen (Vernon) Caithness, by grandchildren Christie (Chris), Tamara (Tony),  Dawna (Michael) and Karen (Rob) and by her great-grandchildren Christopher, Sam, Dylan, Abigael, Colin, Braden and Taylor. Vera was born at the farm of her parents Annie and Richard Muirhead in Ingelow and grew up there with her siblings Charlie, Aileen, Gordon and Gerald. She was a striking young woman who caught the attention of Roy McCaw and they were married in 1943. In 1944 they welcomed their first child Shirley, who died within her first year.  They went on to have two more children, Doreen and Daryle. Roy's work took them from Ingelow, to Ontario, and back to Manitoba, first to Miniota and then to Carberry where they opened a furniture store and raised their family. Vera was an industrious woman who spent few idle moments. In addition to working at the Solo store, and later at their furniture store, Vera was an accomplished gardener, seamstress and knitter and entertained her family many evenings with playing the piano or organ. Roy passed in 1973 but remained forever in her heart. A new chapter of Vera's life opened in 1975 when she married Stan Fee and she welcomed Terry (Barb), Carol-Anne (John) and grandchildren Gary, Jared, Jennifer, Michael and Lindsay to the family.  Initially Stan and Vera lived in Winnipeg, but later retired to Carberry. During this time Vera and her family spend many wonderful days at their cottages at Pelican Lake. Vera was the designated "spotter" while Vernon, Karen and Dawna waterskied, with Captain Snoopy at the wheel while evenings were spent around the campfire. She still loved campfires, and had to be pulled away from the last fire of last summer sometime in the early morning hours. Stan passed in 2007, and Vera once again opened a new chapter. In her later years  Vera and her circle of close friends were often found out on the highways of Westman enjoying restaurants or shopping or enjoying each other's company over coffee. Vera spent much of her life in service to others, and will be remembered for her generosity, her sense of humour and unconditional love. She valued her family, her friends and her health and did not believe in complaining about the trials life brought, but in being thankful and using the blessings that you still had. She has left this world to join those that have passed before, her parents, her siblings Charlie, Aileen, and Gordon, her husbands Roy and Stan and her daughter Shirley. A graveside service for Vera was held on March 19th at the Carberry Cemetery.
