Hugh LARKIN

LARKIN: January 16, 1930 - June 21, 2015. Hugh A Larkin died peacefully at Sidney All Care surrounded by the love of his family. Hugh will be lovingly remembered by his wife Joyce; children Cheryl (Randy) Chisholm; Pat (Bev) Larkin; Dean (Judy) Larkin; Brian (Susan) Larkin; grandchildren Rory (Holly) Chisholm, Ryan Chisholm, Nicole Larkin, Kerry (Adam) Hartman, Shane Larkin, Tyler Larkin; great grandchildren Ray & Beau Chisholm and Brooke & Cole Hartman. Hugh was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba and grew up in Teulon Manitoba. He married Joyce Loreen Gillespie in 1953. Hugh started his work career with GMAC in Winnipeg and then Brandon. He moved the family to Virden Manitoba in 1963 and in partnership bought his first car dealership. Virden was where the family grew up. Hugh was active in the community and had many great times golfing and curling. The cabin at Oak Lake was where the family spent their summers and we will cherish those memories of fun on the lake and late night card games with friends. Hugh purchased Brandon Chrysler Dodge in 1975. In 1988 he and Joyce decided to retire and they moved to Arbutus Ridge, BC where they spent 25 years enjoying trips on their boat, golfing and time spent with familly and friends. There will be a family service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a Parkinson's Society. The family would like to thank the staff at Sidney All Care for the wonderful care they gave Dad these last few months.
