COLQUHOUN: Keith Clayton Colquhoun of Brandon, Manitoba passed on September 17, 2015 at the Assiniboine Centre after a lengthy illness. Keith was born in McAuley, Manitoba, March 8, 1936, and was raised in Brandon. Keith was one of four children, born to Charles and Verna Colquhoun. He was a star hockey player in Brandon. While Keith was always curious and intelligent, school was not his primary focus. He was always adventurous and left school in Brandon to work out west, but later returned to his roots in Brandon. Keith and Darlene met and married in 1957 and daughters Kathy and Connie grew up in a loving and supportive extended family in the south end of Brandon. Keiths primary employment was a welder. His job required him working most of his career outside of the city of Brandon. He worked for many years in northern Manitoba and throughout the country. He worked until his health deteriorated and he needed to retire at 60. Keith and Darlene always enjoyed travelling throughout North America, and he was always happiest behind the wheel of a car. Regardless of his health, he always perked up when the family gathered for card games. Keith loved his grandsons and was always very interested in what they were doing. Keith is survived by his spouse Darlene, daughters Kathy (Bruce) and Connie (Gary) and their sons Gerrad and Brayden, sisters Shirley (Bill), Velma (friend Allan), brother Clair (Dorothy) and multiple nieces and nephews. A private family service was held at Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Keith may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Foundation, A3 Chronic Care/ Waiting Placement/ Palliative Care, 150 McTavish Ave. East, Brandon, MB, R7A 2B3. A special thanks to all the wonderful staff on A3 and also to Dr. Tegg. Thank you to all our friends and family for their loving acts of kindness.
