GRIFFITH: Our family is saddened to announce the passing of our Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother, Lois Olive Maxine Griffith (Wolfe) on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Born January 20, 1929 in Ebor, Manitoba, Lois grew up with her two sisters Doreen and Georgina. She attended school in Ebor and Virden and in 1947 attended Normal School in Winnipeg. She taught school in Rounthwaite and Brandon Hills. In 1948, while teaching at her first school in Routhwaite, Lois met Jim, the love of her life, and they were married in 1950. Together they farmed and raised their family in Rounthwaite and moved to Brandon in 1972. Mother was active in the Rounthwaite Community Club, UCW and in her later years enjoyed a good game of bridge and the fellowship it provided. Jim and Lois enjoyed over 25 years spending winters in Mesa Arizona. Her grandchildren and great Grandchildren were a constant source of pride and enjoyment. Lois is survived by her husband Jim of 66 years; children Lorraine (Jim), Mark (Lorraine) and Grant (Patty); grandchildren, Jeffrey (Amie), Brian (Kirsten), Tyler (Belinda), Courtney (Jon), Jesse (Nadine), Curtis (Laura) and eleven great-grandchildren. Mother's gentle nature will be sadly missed by her surviving sister Doreen White, sister-in-law Carol (Grant) Smith and many nieces and nephews. The family will honour her memory privately at a graveside service at the Rounthwaite Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Rounthwaite Cemetery Fund" (cheques payable to Brandon Area Community Foundation), #5A, 457 - 9th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 6Y9 or to a charity of their choice. Expressions of sympathy may be made atwww.memorieschapel.com.
