ANNETTE (NADEAU) GOSSELIN

Aug. 26, 1937-May 1, 2020

Annette (Nadeau) Gosselin, 82, of Ste Anne, MB peacefully passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020, at the Villa Youville in Ste Anne.

She leaves to mourn her passing her best friend and beloved husband of 64 years, Roland; her children, Robert (Florence), Denis (Darlene), Richard (Rose), Jeannette, Suzanne Sinclair; daughter-in-law, Susan; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters; one brother; as well as extended family and friends.

Annette was predeceased by her son Gérald, son-in-law Danny Sinclair, granddaughter Samantha, parents Léa (Goulet) and Aimé Nadeau, sisters Cécile, Luci, Alice and Laurette, brothers Maurice, Reverend Father Robert, Léo, George (Oblate brother) and Aimé (Chum), brothers-in-law Joe, Raoul, Jules, Kenneth and Olivier, sisters-in-law Denise, Germaine and Sandra.

Annette was an affectionate, compassionate and caring woman. She worked numerous years as a teaching assistant, a waitress at the Cordon Bleu, Ste Anne Hotel and enjoyed helping at the Club Jovial. Her pastimes included spending time with her grandchildren, riding quads and snowmobiles, playing cards, taking long walks with cherished friend Daria and her sister-in-law Lucille, as well as cooking for family and friends. She always assured every grandchild felt like they were her favorite. Annette always had a sweet treat and an enormous hug waiting for her grandchildren when they walked through the door.

Annette was slowly taken from us by Alzheimer’s disease and left a great big hole in our family’s hearts. We will fill them with cherished memories of her love, laughter and kindness.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, staff and Sister Rioux at the Villa Youville. Due to COVID-19, the celebration of life is being delayed. Further details will be posted at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Manitoba at https://alzheimer.mb.ca/ or 204-943-6622 (Winnipeg), 1-800-378-6699 (in Manitoba).
