SAMUEL WALDNER
October 22, 1949 – March 17, 2016
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather, Sam Waldner.
He leaves his wife, Shirley, his children, Jenny (Chris), Amanda (John), Brad (Jackie) and Cheryl. He also leaves his grandchildren, Avery, Azalea, Olivia and Blake. He is survived by siblings Susie, Katie, Jonathan, Rachel, Edward, Lydia, Margaret and Rebecca, in addition to a large extended family. Sam was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Susanna, siblings Jake, Paul, Elizabeth, Mary and Ben.
Dad’s professional life focused on mechanics, farming and welding. His greatest enjoyments came from spending time with his family, riding his Harley and taking care of the family farm. He will be remembered by his strong work ethic and sense of humor.
Special thanks to the staff at DeSalaberry District Health Centre in St. Pierre, MB for their compassionate care in his last days.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., viewing one hour prior, on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg, MB. Interment and reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
