PAUL PALEY
Born July 10, 1925 Sarto, Manitoba, Died January 27, 2016 Burlington, Ontario
Paul passed away peacefully at the age of 90. Devoted husband of the late Elsie Paley (nee Dutchak) for 54 years. Beloved father of Patricia Paley (Chris Lewis), Richard Paley (Christine), Marsha Paley and Marrianne Paley. Cherished grandfather of Gregory Lewis-Paley (Brittany Neldon) and Andrew and Diana Paley. Dear brother of James Paley (deceased), Anne Osahlo and siblings in the Paley and Paradowski(y) families. An uncle/great-uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He will be missed and fondly remembered by his extensive family, neighbours and community for his caring, generous and good-hearted nature. Raised on a farm, his upbringing was reflected later in Ontario in his vegetable gardens, the value of hard work and rising early with the birds. Our father enjoyed spending time at the cottage, playing his guitar, tinkering on cars and traveling across Canada and U.S. Paul began work in 1950 at Dofasco in the Melt Shop and retired as a Shift Foreman in the No. 2 Hot Mill in 1989.
Sincere appreciation to his doctors and especially the hospital staff for their compassionate care during his recent health care need.
The funeral was held February 2, 2016. Private interment to follow at a later date. For those who wish, donations in memory of Paul to Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation, United Way or the charity of your choice, would be sincerely appreciated.
Good-bye Dad, love you!
