JAMES HAIG GREGORY

With great sadness we announce that on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 James Haig Gregory of Sandilands, MB passed away at the Niverville Heritage Personal Care Home.

Jim was predeceased by his first wife Lucy and second wife Rita, his brother Reg and son Charles in 2006, and nephew Brian Fair in 2010.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Pat Gregory in Surrey, BC, and ex-daughter-in-law Margaret Archer in Calgary, AB, also five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, his niece Marilyn Dickson of Kelowna, BC, his close friend of 50 years Dave Penman of Steinbach, MB, and the many good friends he made in the town of Sandilands and area.

Jim was born in Winnipeg, MB on Mar. 28, 1928, residing there in his younger years and during his working life while employed with Dominion Bridge Co. Upon retiring in 1990 he resided in Sandilands.

As per Jim’s wishes no funeral service or memoriam will be held. Ash interment will be at a later date.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Vita Personal Care Home, also Angie and Paul Lord and staff at the Chalet in La Broquerie, MB for their kindness and loving care for the past three years – for this we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
