Robert lay to rest on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at the age of 72, as his children were all by his side.
Robert is survived by his sons, Colin and wife Mavis (Taylen, Jenae, Mykena), Remi (Janique, Sylvie, Miguel), and Shawn (Liam, Leanna), and his daughter Laura and husband Rick (Todd, Garett). Cherishing his memory also are his loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Robert was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to all. He was predeceased by his wife Jeannette (Carriere) in 2008, his brothers Phil and Don, and his parents Remi and Anne.
Our dad, Bob, loved spending time with family and friends - always ready with a witty comment. Visits were sure to include jokes, laughing, and stories. He loved listening to his grandchildren, took interest in what others cared about and had pride for his family. Dad’s strong faith, undying devotion to our mom, and gentle, kind-hearted demeanor are all admirable attributes that will be with us forever. We find peace knowing that Mom and Dad are rejoicing to be with each other once again.
Our family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to family and friends for their support and prayers. We respectfully are appreciative of the caring staff at the Health Sciences Centre.
Funeral arrangements by Glen Lawn Funeral Home are yet to be determined and will be shared on the website www.glenlawn.ca.
