JOAN FORTIN
After a period of failing health, Joan Fortin (nee Dubois) 85 years, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2015 at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, Mb.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband Alcide of 66 years of South Junction and children Robert (Diana) of Wampum, Charles of Vita and Wendy (Philip) of South Junction. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 4 foster great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Joan was born in St. Boniface on Sept 30, 1929 to Hannah and Dolphis Dubois and grew up in Wampum. She is pre-deceased by brothers Edward and Allan Dubois. She is survived by sister Jeannine Nelson of Roseau, Minn., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
