It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Kenneth Bragg at his home in New Hamburg, Ontario on August 25, 2014, surrounded by his family. Eric died at the age of 62 after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Eric will be greatly missed by his wife of 33 years Nadene (Reimer), daughter Rebecca and her partner Renee.
Eric was born January 10, 1952 in Toronto (Weston) Ontario.
Eric is survived by his sister Barbara Bragg and his brother Glenn (Victoria) Bragg, nephews Grant (Stacey) and family and James.
Eric will be sadly missed by his Reimer in-laws, Melanie (Don Morin), Jocelyn (Perry Kent), Sheila (John Wiebe), Luella (Peter Klassen) and their families.
Eric was a 33 year employee of IOF (Foresters) retiring in 2009. Upon retirement, Eric and Nadene moved from Ajax to New Hamburg where he enjoyed his retirement to the fullest.
Eric was a well-rounded sportsman enjoying baseball, badminton, golf and a good game of bridge or poker. Eric will be missed for his competitive nature, uncanny wit and sense of fairness.
Cremation has taken place as per Eric’s request with arrangements by Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eric’s name to Grand River Cancer Centre.
A special thank you to Dr. Bonnie McCarron, Jeannette and the doctors and nurses on 6th floor oncology, Grand River Hospital.
A celebration of Eric’s life will be held on Sunday September 14, 2014 from 1-5pm at Stonecroft Rec Centre, Stonecroft Way, New Hamburg, Ontario.
