ANNE ENNS
July 3, 1928 – July 23, 2014
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of our mother Anne Enns (nee Funk), on July 23, 2014, at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 86.
Mom will be missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters: Elma Carson (Rick), Rosemary McDowell; son Ron Enns (Joan); grandchildren: Julie Carson (Cam), Stacy Carson (Dave), Cory Enns (Deanne), Chad Enns, Cameron McDowell; great-grandchildren: Sadie and Samuel; brothers: Cornie Funk (Eva) in Paraguay, John Funk (Erna), and many nieces and nephews.
Anne was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Peter, her parents Peter & Agatha Funk, siblings: Jake (Justina), Peter (Susie), George (Helen), Betty Funk, and Abe, and son-in-law Ken McDowell.
Anne was born in New Bothwell in 1928, married Peter in 1947, and together, farmed in the area. In 1953, they moved to Winnipeg, where she still resided till her passing.
We will miss her, but are thankful that she is finally at peace.
We would like to thank St. Boniface Hospital 5E staff for their kind and gentle care of our Mom. It was greatly appreciated.
The funeral service was held at Bethel Mennonite Church, 465 Stafford Street, Winnipeg, on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
Donations in memory of Anne may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee.
