CHRISTOPHER ALLAN DUCK
March 4, 1986 – November 23, 2013

With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Christopher Allan Duck aged 27, on Saturday, November 23, 2013.

Left to mourn his loss are his parents Dennis and Susan Freund; sister Erica Duck (Fiancée Richard Heese) Tanika and Chase; sister Brittany Krieger; brother Jethro Candassie; sister Patti Voth (Jake) and children; sister Teresa Freund (Sanjay Reddy) and children; and brother Curt Freund (Laurie) and children.

He is predeceased by his brother Clifford Krieger.

Christopher loved spending time with his family. Whether it was lunch dates and shopping with his sisters Erica and Brittany, niece Tanika and nephew Chase, playing video games with the bigger boys or just spending an afternoon with his mom, he was always happiest there.

Christopher will be remembered for his extreme acts of kindness and soft-heartedness. All who came to know him knew he wore his heart on his sleeve. He didn’t have much, but he still found ways to help his friends in need. Just seeing them happy was all he wanted in return.

Special thanks to his Aunt Elayne and Uncle Oswald Turtle, Irene Kroeker and many other friends and family for the support throughout his life’s journey.

Viewing will be held Thursday, November 28, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, Manitoba.

The funeral service will be held Friday, November 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel. Interment at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, Manitoba.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Steinbach Mennonite Church.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • My memory of Chris is beautiful. He was extremely kind, and every moment we shared together he extended himself beyond friendship. He was creative, and he always brought the people around him to smile. I love Chris, a man that with a lasting foundation. Such a miracle that God created Chris as the blessing he was to me, and in memory, still is. He took me out to a restaurant more than once just so we could spend more time together. Although I miss him much, I know he's happy and watches us all with joy; I mean, how would he not, he was a wonderful person and his spirit was great. Love you Christopher, I'll always cherish your loving kindness and extent of joy you delivered to me and everyone who would appreciate such a soul. - Posted by: Isaak Loeppky (Friend) on: Nov 24, 2024
