With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Christopher Paul Maier, aged 42, on November 5, 2013. Left to mourn his loss are his parents Mary and Al Maier; son Sage; brothers Aaron and wife Robin and children Braxton, Sarah, Tierannai and Taeron and Ryan and wife Carlee and daughter Sunera; Grandpa Hank vanDruten and wife Dorothy, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his fiancee Jodi Legault. Also mourning is Chris' extensive Strongeagle and Ironeagle family, his birth mother Charlene and the Pasqua First Nation. He is predeceased by his wife Andrea.
Chris will be remembered for his kindness, his soft touch, his tender heart, his rapport with children and especially his talent as an artist. Very early on, Chris showed a talent for drawing which over the years developed into a truly amazing passion. His art and tattoo work showed a richness of detail, imagination, a uniqueness of spirit and especially, his heritage. Chris leaves behind a legacy of artwork that will truly live on in the lives of so many people upon whom he left his mark.
Funeral and cremation have taken place.
