LESLIE ELMER LEMBKE passed away peacefully at the Morris General Hospital on October 20, 2013. He was born on March17, 1932 at the family farm near Emerson, Manitoba. Leslie spent his whole life grain farming and raising cattle in the RM of Franklin with his father Fritz and brother Wallace. His life was his farm and his cattle (who were also his pets), he was a very intellegent,inventive person who could make anything from simple rope to a metal lathe.

Leslie was devastated when he had to sell his all his cattle because of failing health. This forced him to move into Dufferin Courts in Emerson in 2011 and in May 2013 he moved into the Emerson Personal Care Home which he called home with a smile on his face.
Leslie was predeceased by his father Fritz in 1972, his mother Kathleen in 1981, his brother Wallace in 1994 and his sister Agnes in 2004.

Funeral Service for Leslie will be held on Friday,October 25, 2013 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Emerson at 2:00pm with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in the Emerson Cemetery following the service.

Everyone is welcome to lunch served at the New Horizon's in Emerson. We would like to thank all the Dr's and nurses, health care aids of the Emerson Personal Care Home and Morris General Hospital for their excellent care of Leslie.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Emerson, Manitoba.
