MARIO DEBENEDICTIS
Mario was born on March 27, 1945 in Palo del Colle, Italy. He was the fifth son of Oronzo Debenedictis and Margherita Cutrone Debenedictis. He moved to Winnipeg in 1967, where he met and married his wife Dorothy (Dot) and raised his family.
Mario was predeceased by his parents and brother Rocco. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Dorothy, son Oronzo James (Ron) Debenedictis (Karen) and grandson Hayden Mario, his daughter Laura Margaret (Marnie) Debenedictis Baldwin (James), granddaughter Lily Maria, and grandson Andrew James. Mario is also survived by brothers Oronzo, Vito, Felice, and Giuseppe and their families in Montreal and Italy, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A private family service will be held at Wojcik's Funeral Chapel on Portage Avenue.
A special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Grace Covid ICU for their gentle and compassionate care of both Mario and his family. You helped us through a devastating time - bless you.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lung Association of Canada, or a charity of your choice.

Dorothy, Ron, Marnie and family my heart is broken for all of you he was a fun guy to be around as well as a great husband,dad,and grandfather I Remember when he was visiting us in Edmonton and we went to the Olive Garden and he humoured us by ordering in Italian.
