FORREST FINLAY

Peacefully on March 7, 2021, Forrest passed on. Forrest was born on June 3, 1930.
Forrest will be sadly missed by his wife of 66 years, Verla, and his two sons, Dwight (Darlene) and Dean (Lenore), as well as his grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley), Jesse (Denise), Kirsten (Steve), Carlee (Sam) and David (Breanne). Forrest was also a proud great-grandfather to Lewis, Felix, Wesley, Wyatt, Malcolm, Jack and Eloise.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Stonewall (Dr. Evelyn Memorial) Hospital for their compassion and caring during Dad's stay.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made in Forrest's name to CancerCare Manitoba.

  • I have so many beautiful memories of 65 years of Forrest and Verla in my family's life. Most recent is when they came to visit me in Florida and Forrest got to fulfill one of his dreams. We visited St. Augustine and Forrest got to see the Golf Hall of Fame. Forrest was a kind and generous man. Always fun. He was so proud of his sons, Dwight and Dean and their families. He cherished Verla and had one of the most wonderful Love Story I have ever seen. We are saddened to lose such a remarkable friend to everyone who knew him.
