She will be forever loved and missed by her loving husband Eric Machel, son Michael Machel (Lina Machel), daughter Jackie Czul (David Czul), and grandchildren, Aidan and Gregory.
Ruth was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Martha Rosnow, as well as her siblings, Joan and Gordon. She is survived by her sisters, Wilma and Justine, and her brother Glen.
She had fond memories of growing up on the family farm in Inglis, Manitoba and would always share many great stories of her childhood including her favourite horse named "Fly". She went to Hudson school in Inglis. In her teen years the family moved to Winnipeg, where she went to school at Daniel McIntyre. In her late 20s she was introduced to Eric by her uncle Adolf and would later marry in 1973.
Ruth worked at Salisbury House, Pizza Place and Reliance during her working years, but her favourite job was raising her children and after her time raising children, she took on foster kids for about a decade while Michael and Jackie were still living at home.
She had a passion and love for music and dancing. She and Eric would spend time going to concerts and singing songs together at the care home.
She was strong, funny and very caring of others. She was always supportive of her children and emphasized getting an education.
