LORENZO PALLONE

Lorenzo Pallone, the youngest of five brothers left us for a better place on April 7, 2021 to join his mother Rosa, his two older brothers, Agostino, and Tony, and infant brother Aldo.
He was born September 7, 1947 in Miglierina, CZ, Italy. He came to Canada on December 14, 1964 to join the family.
He was a fine barber. Once a pleasant and happy younger man, he became ill making him incapable of doing his job any further.
His demise, although it is a sad day for us, however we know that he is now free of the illness he suffered through the years.
He will be sadly missed by his brothers, Franco (Christina), Mario (Carol), sisters-in-law Diane and Virginia and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
Our gratitude to the staff of 131 Ryerson Fort Garry for the care and friendship they extended to Lorenzo.
Funeral service will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
Pallbearers are Leo Umprey, Tony Pallone Jr., Greg Pallone, and Tony Pallone.

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • I had known my dear close friend Lorenzo for nearly 42 years. He was hired by my father sometime in 1979/1980 where he worked as a hair replacement stylist. He worked there for many years. He and my father went on a few business trips as well. We were like family visiting each other at our homes. Lorenzo eventually decided to open up his own barbershop place on William Avenue and then moved it to Ellice Avenue. We remained close the whole time. After Lorenzo retired he lived out of the city for a while but we still spoke with each other. Then after his brother Tony passed away he came back into the city and we continued our friendship by going to different restaurants and shopping malls. I visited him at every group home & hospital that he had been in over the years. I would pick him up and we would go for lunch and sometimes shopping for necessities. Because we were so close and had trusted me he gave me special authority to speak with his social workers & public trustee as well. I wanted to make sure he was well taken care of and receiving his needs to his satisfaction. We had many fun times together & some difficult times. But he always managed to put a smile on my face and I always was able to make him laugh over the silliest of things. We spoke to each other few times a week up until his passing. I miss him dearly already. This has created a big void in my life. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Mark Kittner (close friend) on: Apr 19, 2021
