ROBERT (BOB) WOODROW
He is survived and remembered lovingly by his children, Doug (Britt), Sandra (Owen), Todd (Sharon), Brad (Val), Richard (Lory), Cheryl (Rui) and Heather (Jeff); as well as his grandchildren, Nicole, Sean, Tyler, Vince, Cody, Natasha, Kelsie, Rachelle, Haleigh, Devin, Melissa, Reid, Chase, Quinn, Aiden, Julien, Bryelle, and great-grandchildren, Jodi, Nathan, Carter, Molly, Nixon, River, Sierra, Claire, Leah, Link, Annalucia and Weston.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Bernice; brother Bruce and twin brother James (Jim). Bob was born on August 13, 1940, in Winnipeg, MB. Bob began his career apprenticing as a mechanic, it was there that he worked diligently to develop his skills as a spray painter. He worked his way through the industry and was recruited as an instructor at Stony Mountain Penitentiary. He retired from a long, successful career at Stony Mountain in 2000. Bob married the love of his life on September 24, 1976 in Winnipeg. During their 39 years together, many happy times were spent and memories made, camping, dancing and travelling with friends. Bob was a wonderful man who always put family first. He was known as a persistent and tireless worker who spent countless hours helping his children with construction, renovation and moving projects. Bob was handy and knowledgeable about many things, including how to make the best ranger cookie. While we mourn his passing, we smile knowing that he is now with Bernice and they are both watching over us all. We will miss him terribly but treasure the lasting memories of our times with him. Rest in Peace, we love you - you will never be forgotten.

Condolences & Memories (9 entries)
Heartfelt thoughts to Bob's family & friends. He is now dancing in heaven with Bernice. We had the pleasure of seeing them so happy, floating around the dance floor grinning ear to ear. May you take comfort that they are together again. Got to see Bob at Good Neighbors Golf and his wide smile is missed. Cherish your many memories of such a fine man. - Posted by: Dale & Lynn Checkley (Pattern Dancing) on: Aug 19, 2021
Sincere condolences to the Woodrow family. Our hearts were saddened when we were told of Bob's illness, and then his passing. We recall so many of the fun times we had driving all over Manitoba to dances, going on tours with the Fugitive dance band, festivals, picking strawberries, also the bush pie parties. We will be forever grateful that we got to know Bernice and Bob many years ago. They will not be forgotten. Friends Elmer and Gwen Oliver. - Posted by: Elmer and Gwen Oliver (Friends) on: May 03, 2021

Deepest sympathy to all of Bob’s family. We knew Bob and Bernice from dancing, camping and cards. Always a smile and happy disposition. As the family says, he’s now with Bernice in a better place and likely enjoying a great card game and dance in the heavens above. We miss them both. Mike & I send out deepest condolences to the Woodrow Family. We met your Mom and Dad at the Old Tyme Dances that they used to attend in Clandeboye. They were such a special couple in our minds, and always willing to chat. I can still see them sitting at the first table inside the door along with their dear dancing friends. - Posted by: Mike & Wilma (Billie) Ratkowski (Friends) on: Apr 29, 2021
Sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Condolences to his lovely family. He was a great neighbour, quiet, soft spoken, never an unkind word to or about anyone. Will miss the great times over coffee at Macdonalds and the mall with all his friends. Sincerely Rudy and Carrol Moroz - Posted by: Rudy and carrol moroz (Neibour) on: Apr 29, 2021
