IRIS BAIRD GRAHAM
Iris valued her relationships with her parents, James and Anna Iris Graham; her siblings, Jim, Dorothy, Irene, Russell and Yvonne, and all of her nieces and nephews.
Iris had a great store of tales to tell about growing up on Maryland Street during the Depression. She was very proud of how her mother managed a large family on very little money.
She had a very special relationship with her lifelong companion, Murray Vinet. They took many summer road trips to the west coast and the States.
Over a long career, Iris successfully managed a number of offices in small businesses. Iris strongly preferred a "one-woman office" so that everything was in her hands and done to her satisfaction. At times her bosses must have wondered who was actually in charge.
After 30 plus years in the Oswald Apartments in Sunny St. James, keeping a close eye on Portage Avenue out her window, she moved into Parkview Place Personal Care Home where she was well looked after. She attended recreation programs as long as she was sure that a dessert would be served! During recent years, Iris' challenges increased and the staff did well in meeting her needs. Her family would like to express sincere appreciation for their patience and compassion.
A private family gathering is planned in Iris' memory.

Iris was a great friend, of my mom, Betty. I even called her Auntie Iris!! They had a “club” and met every month (except in the summer) at each other’s houses. Would never tell me what the letters of their “club”, stood for!!
