Condolences to the Lum family, My name is Dolly Friesen. Alec and I were close in the 70s. we moved to Vancouver in 1973. With my family. It was a great sacrifice on Alec’s part. Sadly he needed to go back to the “Peg”. We stayed in touch over the years. He came to my first anniversary in 1989. We saw each other every time l got to Winnipeg, or he came to Vancouver. I was one of the Stage Door Girls. Along with Terry and Wanda. Legends of the Stage Door. Alec was the most kind and generous person I have ever known. I loved his roses. So clever. With all my thoughts, Alec will be in my heart always - Posted by: Dolly Friesen (Friend and lover) on: Nov 08, 2021

On behalf of The Stage Door Girls our longtime, beautiful friend Alec will be missed and held forever in our hearts. We all have remained friends for over 40 plus years, sustaining this amazing friendship long after The Stage Door closed. We meet Alec back in the day, fondly referred ALEC as "One of the Girls" always being there for us. Sharing in laughter, love and tears, the cycle of life, milestones, marriages, divorces, children, grandchildren, birthdays anniversaries, health issues and the most recent loss of Bev in February. We just celebrated his 70th Birthday, with cake, cards, gifts, a fun filled night! One we will cherish always not knowing it would be our last time together. Our heartfelt sympathy Marjorie and family on his sudden loss, please know how much we loved Alec and are reaching out in support and friendship.
