With great sadness we had to say, until we meet again Mom.
Predeceased by her parents, Nick and Helen Arseniuk, daughter Gail Bright, sisters, Dora Pronchuk, Mary Teleglow, and brothers, John and Tony Arseniuk.
Left to cherish her memory, her children, Garry (Arlene), Lyn (Ernie) Jane, Diane, Roy (Janet), Fay, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Harry (Joan) Arseniuk, many nieces and nephews.
Mom was born in Lac du Bonnet, MB and moved to Winnipeg in 1949. She worked hard to raise her family, operating licensed rooming houses. Some of Mom's favourite things were visits from those who loved her, summertime, food - especially perogies, chicken and sweet treats and her faith as a Seventh Day Adventist.
We were so fortunate that Mom's mind was sharp right up to the very end, allowing her to share with us her thoughts and wishes. Mom had a heart of gold.
The family would like to thank the staff at Donwood Personal Care Home for the amazing care provided over the past four and a half years, as well as many new friends made - both staff and residents.

We will miss you dearly Mom

Private family service will be held.

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Ann was my dear friend from the day she moved to Donwood. We had a connection. That connection grew stronger every day. Often when Garry was at the window, I was sitting on her bed talking. I miss her. I miss our talks, her laugh, her strength, her insight. She was a very good friend of mine. I ask of the family, is there anywhere you suggest that I could honour her passing? I think she would like that. Sherri Thank you for any response. I loved your Mom. - Posted by: Sherri Starkell (Friend) on: Oct 07, 2021

  • My sincere sympathies to Ann's family. I was shocked by her passing. I got to know your Mom because she and my mom were roomies ar Donwood Manor and had side-by-side rooms on the first floor. I always stopped by to visit her when I visited my mother. What an incredible lady she was. I cherished her as a dear friend and will miss her. - Posted by: Barbara Saunders (Friend) on: Jul 17, 2021

  • Awe Ann, I’m so sorry you had to leave us. I miss you so much! I got to know you as I cleaned your room at Donwood Manor for 1.5 years. You and I clicked right away and always had good talks and laughs. I’d stop in throughout my day no matter what and always say hi and make you smile. I loved seeing you smile. You're so sweet to learn about my family and my kids and always ask how they were doing and about my health problems at the time. My health issues unfortunately made me have to quit and I didn’t get to see you daily anymore. It broke my heart. We did always communicate on the phone, and with covid got a couple visits in, even a outdoor window visit and you were on your phone and I was on mine and that’s how we could see each other. I wanted so badly to come give you a big hug. I’m so sorry I didn’t come see you just a week sooner. I was coming to see u June 25, but you were in the hospital then gone. I’ll forever treasure our stories, laughs and talks and sneaking you Oreo cookies lol. I love you miss Ann. I miss you. May you Rest In Peace beautiful 💜 - Posted by: Mary Konaby (Worked at Donwood Manor) on: Jul 16, 2021

  • I wish to send my condolences to all of the Brenner family for the loss of their mother, Ann. I knew Ann a.k.a. "Mrs. Brenner" when she and her family lived on Bryce Street in Fort Rouge. She was a kind women, always greeting us (Roy's friends) with a cheerful "Hi"! Ann raised a lovely family with pretty daughters. Time has placed distant memories between us all. It is sad news to hear about "Mrs. Brenner" and my most sincere sympathy goes out to the entire Brenner family. - Posted by: Randy Fisher (Family friend) on: Jul 13, 2021
