DORIS MAY DAVISON
May 20, 1928 - July 20, 2021
Doris passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by her children who will dearly miss her. She is survived by her son Rod Davison; her daughters, Carla (Gordon) Mackay and Janis (Norm) Leong; her grandchildren, Blake (Jenny) Mackay, Amber-Dawn Davison, Christian Davison and Joshua Davison. Doris has gone onto glory to join her husband Rod Davison and her grandson Luke Mackay who predeceased her.
An artist at heart, Doris saw Christ's beauty in everything around her, whether it was perfect or imperfect. For so many years, she and her faithful terrier Ringo walked the river trails and tall-grass prairies near her home in Wildwood Park. She brought home leaves, flowers, and other woodland trophies, pressed them between the pages of heavy books, and created beautiful cards, paintings, and stained glass. Her hands were seldom still, and she created numerous treasures that she has left behind for friends and family to remember her.
Doris' first love was Christ, and she was always ready to share God's love. This strong unwavering faith brings peace and comfort to both friends and family. Even though they miss her, they celebrate that she is at peace with her Creator. We rest easy knowing that Doris has joined so many friends and family who have taken this journey before her.
A celebration of Doris Davison's life will be held at a future date with a reception to follow at her home. Instead of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Siloam Mission (www.siloam.ca) in Winnipeg where she volunteered for so many years.
Doris Davison's family kindly requests that her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by visiting her tribute page at EthicalDeathCare.com. A photo-biography, as well as memories and stories published by those who knew her, are available there.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)
I have many fond memories of Aunt Doris. Wonderful family get togethers not only at her home but also at the lake. She was a beautiful lady who was blessed with many talents. I always enjoyed looking at her artwork that she had painted as well as the lovely home made cards that she sent to my family and I.
