KENNETH EDWARD MAZUR
Ken was born at home in Winnipeg on May 22, 1932, and was predeceased by his parents, Anna and Stanley Mazur; his loving wife Beverley; his older brother Frank and his wife Doreen; and cousin and dear friend Gerry Turner.
He is survived by his younger sister Noel Wagner (Don) and their four children; his brother's five children; his aunts, Jean, Evelyn and Frances; and his cousin Gerrie's children. Ken and Bev had no children, but Uncle Ken was known to shower all children with great affection, treating his nieces, nephews and cousins as if they were his own.
Ken had fond memories of growing up in the North End which he liked to share with family and friends. The family having moved to the West End, Ken attended Daniel McIntyre Collegiate and graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He spent all his working life as a technical sales representative in the industrial chemical and pharmaceutical fields. Ken valued his friendship with Kappa Sigma Kappa fraternity brothers and remained close friends with many over the years.
We extend our special thanks to the paramedics who attended Ken after his accident. Our deepest gratitude goes to all the medical and health professionals who treated Ken with great care and respect during his stays at Health Sciences Centre, Seven Oaks General Hospital and St Boniface General Hospital.
Out of respect for Ken's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. A graveside dedication of the stone marking his resting place beside Bev will be held to honour Ken's memory and long life on Thursday, August 5, 2021, departing from Neil Bardal Funeral Home (across from Brookside Cemetery) at 2:00 in the afternoon.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Canada, 1000-191 Lombard Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3B 0X1.
