June 23, 1936 - August 19, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, and grandmother. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family at Grace Hospital.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband Ron (Horst) Roth of 59 years; children, Greg, Cathy (Paul Cooley) and Sheryl (Ariel Lupu); grandchildren, Kevin and Kyle Cooley, David, Nathan and Salina Lupu; sister Violet (Gordon Salway); sister-in-law Elsie Pudritz; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Gottfried and Paulina Litke; brothers, Bill, Ervin (Alice), Emil (Jean), Fred (Wanda) Litke; sisters, Edith (Frank) Molinski, Pauline (John) Naaykens; and brother-in-law Egon Pudritz.
Doreen was born and raised in Beausejour, Manitoba. She moved to Winnipeg in 1952. It is there that she met her husband Ron in 1961 and were married a year later. She worked as head cashier for Shop Easy from 1953 until she had her first child in 1963. She also worked for Mid Canada Press from 1982 to 1984. She taught Sunday School at St. Peters Lutheran Church, worked for Elections Manitoba, and collected donations for the Canadian Cancer Society.
She will always be remembered for her amazing cooking, her loving spirit, and her kind, thoughtful and friendly nature. She will be missed but never forgotten.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 28 at 3:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour with interment to follow in Beausejour Cemetery. The family welcomes you to join them inside the chapel, which is limited to 200 patrons, or in the parking lot of Sobering Funeral Chapel and tuning your radio to 98.1 FM. If you are in the parking lot, there will be an opportunity to sign the guest register from your vehicle. Please adhere to social distancing regulations and masks are strongly recommended.

We thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre, Deer Lodge Health Centre and Grace Hospital for helping us through this difficult time.
