Condolences & Memories (5 entries)
Our sincere condolences to Mike and family on the sad passing of your dad. - Posted by: Geraldine and Austin O'Brien (Friend) on: Oct 05, 2021
Our family first met Gordon at Jessica Lake as we were cottage neighbours with the Raybould family, Sheila being a daughter. We saw this fellow sweep her off her feet and before we knew it they were married. It was so great knowing our friend Sheila had met someone that she could fall in love with and that would love her back and care for her. Life takes one in different directions and so we can easily get out of touch. One thing I will always remember is that Gordon was a very nice person, had a great smile and sense of humour and loved Sheila. The world is richer for his life. Rest in Peace and love to Sheila and the family. - Posted by: Colleen O'Morrow (friend) on: Sep 29, 2021
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Shawn. I know that there is little that can be said to ease your pain but my thoughts are with you, Mike, Jody, and Mrs. Shawn. As a childhood friend of Mike, I have many great memories of Mr. Shawn and will always remember his friendliness, wonderful smile, and his open and caring nature. Please know that your father / husband touched many people - more than you even realize. Sending you love and strength from British Columbia. - Posted by: Mike Hull (Family friend) on: Sep 28, 2021
We're so sorry to learn of Gordon's passing. Leslie and I extend our sincere condolences to Sheila, Michael, Jody and the rest of the family. We got to know Gordon when our boys began playing hockey together. Gordon was always friendly, engaging and courteous; a true gentleman! He will be missed. - Posted by: Ken & Leslie Dzogan (Acquaintances) on: Sep 25, 2021
We are saddened by Gordon's pasing. Gord has been our lake neighbour and friend for many decades. His kind heart is evident from the first time you meet him. We will miss his Saturday morning paper delivery's at the lake, which were always a chance to chat awhile. He has left us with countless memories of the many good times, parties, dock talks, and watching him take our grandchildren tubing, and those epic water gun fights. He will be missed. - Posted by: Trish and Russ Duthoit (Neighbours and friends) on: Sep 25, 2021
