(nee VINT)

It is with an aching heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Donna Kozicki (nee Vint) on September 17, 2021, at the Riverview health centre with her daughter by her side.
Donna is predeceased by her husband Norman Kozicki; her son Darren Kozicki (Odile), and sister Betty Couture. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter Darcie (Richard); grandchildren, Jennifer (Daniel), Larissa (Adam), Christopher, Daniel (Amy) and Matthew (Brittany); and four great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Natalee, Theo and Emily.
Donna's journey began in 1942 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, born to Robert and Phyllis Vint. Eventually, Winnipeg was where the family settled. Donna married Norman and built a beautiful life together with their children. They spent summers at the lake in Kenora and winters travelling, Barbados being their favorite spot. All was made possible by their tremendous hard work and long hours. Donna worked as a talented hairstylist even owning her own shop, Impressions by Donna and Pam in St. James. Donna absolutely beamed in all social settings and people radiated towards her bright smile and glowing personality. Along the way Donna made friends everywhere she went, many lasted a lifetime. Too many to mention in fact. She loved entertaining and was a remarkable hostess, always making sure everyone was well fed and never thirsty. She loved Sunday dinners with her family the most, spending days planning and cooking the most amazing meals. Donna's ultimate calling was being a Grandma. She spoke of and spoiled her grandchildren endlessly. Taking them to the lake, shopping trips, having sleepovers and teaching them things like the macarena, cartwheels and how to rollerblade. Donna moved to The Country Villas where she enjoyed the company of her family, her dog Bailey and her amazing neighbours.
The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate care making Mom's last days as comfortable as possible. Also, the family extends a special thanks to Rob and Gerri Rannie for their continuous support and companionship to Donna over the years.
A celebration of Donna's life will be announced at a later date.
