Lorna was born on July 13, 1952 and never grew old, her soul was made of sunshine and she had a heart of gold, her eyes were as bright as shinning stars and cheeks like a rose.
She fought a long and hard battle with cancer over the past six years with her loving husband Rick of 50 years. Lorna and Rick met in the fall of 1969 and married shortly after she graduated high school.
She always gave the best hugs and loving support to those in need. She also kept busy sewing, baking, bird watching, doing cross-stitch, camping, bargain hunting and chatting with family and friends. She was the most amazing wife, daughter, sister, aunty and friend.
She is going to be missed dearly by her true love Rick, father Tim, loving sister Donna, her sunshine niece Tammy and husband Ryan, pride and joy great-nieces, Dalyce, Addison and Quinn and nephew David. She also leaves behind her loving brother-in-law Bob and Nancy, niece Lisa and nephew Rob and their families, along with aunts and numerous cousins.
Lorna was predeceased by her mom Therese.
I would like to thank the nursing staff on 6D and ICU Med at the Health Sciences Centre for their loving and caring efforts to provide comfort to Lorna during her stays with them, during her recovery from her last bout of cancer and her final days.
Heaven gained the most beautiful angel who will always be watching over her family as that's who always came first in her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorna's name to CancerCare Manitoba would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Richard: I was saddened to read of the passing of your dear wife Lorna. You and I have known each other for well over 55 years now and of course worked together at Canadian Indemnity. It has been years now but I can always remember Lorna coming out to our ball games being the CI Mets and bringing that little puppy you had for years. " Bear " as you are affectionately called more often than Richard; you are a true friend. I would like you to know that Faye and I are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers and we offer you our sincere condolences at this time. Sincerely, Ken Mitchell - Posted by: Ken Mitchell (Long Time Friend & Co-Worker With Richard) on: Oct 11, 2021

I am so sorry yo hear of Lorna’s passing. My deepest condolences to you Rick and all the family members. I was greatly sadden to hear of Lorna's passing. We go back a long way. We worked together at Kmart back in the early 70's. We keep in touch over the years. I considered her as a friend, not just as a work associate. - Posted by: Sheldon Itscovich (friend) on: Oct 09, 2021
