ELIZABETH ANNE KEHLER

It is with deep sadness and love that the family of Elizabeth Anne Kehler (Betty) announces her passing on Friday, October 1, 2021, in Winnipeg, Manitoba with her family at her side. Betty was 78 years old.
Funeral services will be held at a later date to be announced by the family.
Betty was born in Altona, MB to John and Elsie Fehr on May 27, 1943. She married Cornelius Klassen in 1960 in Altona and they were married for 28 years before their marriage ended. In Betty's later years, she found the love of her life in Frank Pearson while she was living at the Lion's Manor Personal Care Home. He was a companion that made her feel alive and loved.
Betty did many jobs throughout her life. She managed retail stores, worked in kitchens and restaurants, and became the senior manager for the Winnipeg Bible College, now Providence College, food services ensuring hundreds of students received healthy and hearty food each day.
Betty was always a provider, especially for her five children. She was survived by Cynthia Klassen (Brian Klassen) of Morden, MB, Jacqueline Harms (Roland Kroecher) of Coquitlam, BC, Jeffrey Klassen (Lisa Harcus) of Morden, MB, Terrance Klassen (Michelle Klassen) of Winnipeg, MB and Lesley Klassen of Winnipeg, MB. She was also survived by nine grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her partner Frank Pearson, seven siblings and one granddaughter.
Her playful and generous spirit will be deeply missed by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Manitoba.
Our family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to the family of Frank Pearson, and to Bob and Myrna Stark for welcoming Betty into the Altona United Church, and the staff at Deer Lodge Personal Care Home, especially those staff on Lodge 6 that supported Betty and the family during her end-of-life care.
