ANN ELIZABETH SCHMIDT
March 30, 1931 - October 8, 2021

Ann passed away peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on Friday, October 8, 2021. She was 90 years of age.
Ann is survived by her three children, Randy, Mark (Tammy), Calgary, AB, and Karen (Ian) Houston; her brothers, Joe Ostermann (Connie), Carstairs, AB, Ernie Ostermann (Joan) and her sister Marie Steltenpool. Ann was predeceased by her husband Heinz; her sisters, Clare Ostermann and Pauline Kreutzer; and her brother Ted Ostermann. She will be missed by her seven grandchildren, Brett (Dan), Krystin (Randy), Stephanie, Samantha, Madison, Sydney and Markus, as well as her three great-grandchildren, Greyson, Oliver and Scotland.
Ann had a kind-hearted soul, with strong moral values and always put others first. She may have been a woman of few words but anyone close to her knew you could always count on her unconditional love and support. Ann dedicated her life to her family and she will be truly missed, however her legacy will continue on through her loved ones.
The family would like to thank the staff of Thorvaldson Care Centre for their compassionate care over the last 17 years, they certainly made her feel at home. She especially looked forward to ice cream Fridays!
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
