GILBERT CAMILLE CLEMENT
1940 - 2021

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Gilbert on October 7, 2021 at the age of 81.
He leaves to mourn his siblings, Monique (Rick) Dalton, René Clément (Yvonne Touchette), Yvette (Al) Tyson; in-laws, Alice Clément and Adrien Thevenot; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Gilbert was born on February 21, 1940 in Aubigny, where he lived and worked on the family farm. He moved to Winnipeg with his parents, Onésime and Isabelle in 1974.
He was close to all his siblings, who always included him in family reunions. It made him feel important, loved and protected.
Gilbert was a kind, gentle and friendly person. He approached everyone he knew for a short chat and a smile. He was appreciated and cared for by all who knew him, especially a Catholic group, Foi et Lumière. Their monthly meetings meant so much to him and gave him such joy.
Our sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at Chez Nous, where Gilbert was so well cared for.
Gilbert has moved on to join his parents, Onésime and Isabelle; sisters, Carmel Champagne, Pauline Clément, Annette Roy; brothers, Arthur and Leo Clément; in-laws, Victor Roy, Lucille Clément and Andy Champagne; as well as other much cherished family members.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
Gilbert has been cremated and a celebration of his life and a Funeral Mass will be held at a later date.
