September 30, 1943 - October 8, 2021
She was predeceased by her parents, Ignace and Sophie (nee Kochan) Baliant and stepmother Mary. It's hard for a mother to envision a loss of a child, so it was a sad time when Bernice lost her son Greg (2010). She was also predeceased by her sister Jean Yablonski and nieces, Carol Shaw and Louise Kuffner.
Bernice was born in Meleb, Manitoba on September 30, 1943. She worked for Manitoba Sausage and Winnipeg Old Country for over 30 years. Her work ethic was unbeatable.
Bernice married Herb on May 11, 1963 and they resided in Winnipeg. When Herb passed away, she moved to Beausejour.
Left to mourn are her son Glen and grandchildren, Kim, Kiana and Bryton. Baba was a great cook and was known for her amazing cabbage rolls and German krumber perogy.
A funeral service is to be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel in Beausejour, Manitoba, with viewing one hour prior. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)
Glen and family, I was so sorry to hear hat your mom had passed away. We had many years working together, lots of fun and lots of hard work which your Mom was never afraid to do. She was a great lady and caring woman. Ken Werner owner of Winnipeg Old Country Sausage - Posted by: ken werner (co worker) on: Nov 09, 2021

Growing up I loved visiting my aunt and uncle every summer during summer vacation. Her brother-in-law, my dad Eric Zielke talked to her on the phone as often as he could up until her passing. Condolences to the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. She will be missed. - Posted by: Linda Zielke (Niece ) on: Oct 21, 2021
