IRENE VIELFAURE
1953 - 2021

Our mother, Irène Vielfaure (Gendreau) passed on November 10, 2021, at the age of 68, at Actionmarguerite St. Vital in Winnipeg.
She is survived by family which she loved dearly: her children, Renée (Pierre) Manaigre, Marc (Tara) Vielfaure, Danielle (Russ) Dyck and David (Nadine) Vielfaure as well as her grandchildren, Zander, Dalton, Tyran, Alexcis, Jérome, Colin and Annick.
Irène was born at Ste-Anne Hospital to Cécile and Marcel Gendreau and her childhood years were in Richer, MB.
Irène was predeceased by her parents, her sister Lucille Head, and her nephew Adam Gendreau. She is survived by two brothers and two sisters: Marie (Renald) Courcelles, René (Raedean) Gendreau, Juliette (John) Rowan, Denis (Sandi) Gendreau, as well as her brother-in-law Peter Head. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Irène had a passion for crafts and music. For many years, she played the organ for the choir of the Saint-Joachim Church in La Broquerie as well as for the choir of the Church of l'Enfant-Jésus of Richer. Irène played with a naturally energetic tempo that no one could help but sing along to.
Irène and her husband Raymond Vielfaure raised their four children on a beautiful acreage near La Broquerie. She then moved to Winnipeg where she spent the rest of her life. Nothing was more important to Irène than her four children whom she loved deeply. We are eternally grateful to her for her kindness, her dedication and her loving mother's heart. Her absence leaves an immense void but her memory remains imperishable.
A special thanks to the staff of Actionmarguerite St. Vital for their remarkable support throughout the past few months as well as all of the people who have devoted themselves to our mother over the years.
A private service will take place at a later date with burial to follow at Enfant-Jésus Roman Catholic Cemetery.
