DARYL ALVIN HILL
July 18, 1938 - November 26, 2021
He will be lovingly remembered by his family; daughters, Cheryl (Mark) Wold, Keri Bennett (David Weselak); grandchildren, Stephanie (Alan) Stern, Andrew (Shelby) Wold, Ethan Bennett, Owen Bennett, and great-grandson Alden Wold. Dad was predeceased by his loving wife Judy, youngest daughter Leigh, his parents, Hazel and Irven, and brother Orval Hill.
Daryl and Judy married in 1961 and raised three daughters together. Dad enjoyed a long career in the Food Brokerage Industry and retired in 1999. He was a true sports enthusiast and every weekend could be found golfing at Breezy Bend Golf and Country Club, where he made many lifelong friends.
He always loved having his family around him, holding court with a good (long) story and throwing out his famous one liners. Life was hard without Judy - who was truly the sunshine of his life.
Words cannot express our gratitude to the staff of the Arbour - Brightwater Senior Living of Tuxedo, for the wonderful care they gave our father. They truly knew and appreciated him and for that we will always be truly grateful.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or to CancerCare Manitoba.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)
To the family - Meryl and I cannot tell you how much we feel the pain you are going through. Your Dad would be so very proud of the time and effort all of you put into today’s service. The officiator was excellent in his message to family and friends and his delivery was as if he had known your Dad personally. Hopefully all of you including the Grandchildren will cherish his message as well as the deep love your Dad/Grandpa had for each and everyone of you. - Posted by: Doug & Meryl (Friends and working associate ) on: Dec 08, 2021
It was with sadness that we learned of Daryl's passing and we wish to extend our condolences to his family. We enjoyed our chats with Daryl, often about golfing at Breezy, when we visited our Mother who lived across the hall in the Arbour. Daryl was indeed fortunate to have such devoted daughters. May he now rest peacefully. Rod & Doreen - Posted by: Rod & Doreen Brown (Friends) on: Dec 04, 2021
My condolences to the family. I remember Daryl well from Breezy Bend and am saddened by his passing. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Colin Gilmore (Friend) on: Dec 04, 2021
Daryl your friendship meant more to me than words can express. 35 years of friendship and memories we shared together, and with our wife's. No more chats over coffee at Tim's. I will never forget our golf days at Breezy Bend over the past 30 years, and our time on the board together. In fact I will never forget you. We will miss you. Rest in peace dear friend until we meet again. Geoff - Posted by: Geoffrey Walker (Close Friend) on: Dec 04, 2021
