BRIGITTE MARIA VERBRUGGE
(nee SCHUMANN)
October 6, 1950 - November 25, 2021
Brigitte will be sadly missed by her husband Gary of 31 years; her children, Carlene Marshall, Elijah Lloy (Shannon), Bhavani Ryan (Adam) and stepdaughter Jennifer Verbrugge (Logan); grandchildren, Devin, Robin, Nyranana, Marek and Arron and Ronin, Lochlan and Declan; her siblings, Rob Schumann (Theresa), Heidi Schumann and Ursell Schumann.
Brigitte was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada at an early age. She spent most of her life in Winnipeg, where she got her teaching degree. She then raised her children and became a teacher's aid, where she worked for over 25 years with special needs children, especially with one little boy she had for nine years.
Gary and Brigitte loved to travel and enjoyed a way of life together in recovery of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 30 years. Brigitte helped many women in AA and will be lovingly missed by all.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Brigitte's life will be held at a later date.
