DOODNAUTH RAMSAMMY
Doodnauth was predeceased by his parents, Ramsamy Achan and Bandesi Ramsamy, and brother Koomral Ramsamy
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cecile Ramsammy (nee Angeles); son David Ramsammy (Kamala), grandchildren, Maya and Noah; daughter Boomelia Penwarden (Clive), grandchildren, Melinda and Robin; daughter Shantee Siemens (Kris) and granddaughter Kate; brother Chetram Ramasami (Radika); sisters, Indra Baburam (Victor) and Sheila Sanasie (Donald); sister-in-law Betie Ramsamy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Doodnauth was born in Guyana on September 11, 1938 and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1977. He was a very hard worker who easily made friends with everyone he met and who loved to tell stories and jokes at family gatherings.
Viewing (Lamay) will be held between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021. Prayers to be said at 7:00 p.m. COVID PROTOCOLS REQUIRE ALL IN ATTENDANCE BE FULLY VACCINATED, ONLY THOSE WHO CAN SHOW PROOF OF VACCINATION AND GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID WILL BE PERMITED TO ATTEND.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 18, 2021, St. Gianna Roman Catholic Church, 15 Columbia Drive with entombment to follow at Living Waters Columbarium.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada
