As a young teenager staying with my sister Merna and George, I loved visiting the Milnes at Emerson. They were so welcoming and I so admired their home which Irene had decorated with such flair. In later years, your mom gracefully accepted the changes that were inevitable but remained so giving, especially with her music, even until the end of her life.
