SANTA MARIA MELIZZA
(nee DI RADO)

Sadly, on Sunday, March 6, 2022, Santa Maria Melizza passed away unexpectedly at the age of 84.
Known by friends and family as Santina or Sandy, she was predeceased by her loving husband Nicola and her parents, Maria and Domenico Di Rado.
Sandy is survived and missed by her son Fernando and his wife Linda and her granddaughters, Kayla and Jenna Melizza. She is also survived by her sister Rosa Melizza; sisters-in-law, Giuseppina Melizza, Elisa Martelli, Rosa Di Rado and brother-in-law Marino Melizza (Antonietta); as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Santina was born on September 8, 1937 in Santa Maria Imbaro, Chieti, Italy. She immigrated to Canada in 1953, where she lived until her passing.
Sandy's family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Golden Door personal care home who cared for Sandy for the last nine months.
A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with viewing starting at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandy's name to CancerCare Manitoba.
