Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Uncle Donn & Aunt Lydia used to visit us on our farm as we were growing up. But we truly loved to visit them in their apartment; and after they retired, in their new home. She was so house-proud and loved to show us around. She treated us very well as kids, and when we grew up and had our own families, she enthusiastically assumed the role of great-Aunt! We were heartbroken to hear of her passing, and disappointed that we had only spoken to her, and not visited recently. Requiesce in pace. - Posted by: David MacKenzie (Nephew) on: Apr 28, 2022

  • Sincere condolences go out to Lydia's family and friends. Lydia was a school chum that I reconnected with many years later at the Manitoba Legislative building. She was a kind and sincere friend - someone you knew would always be part of your life. I know you no longer suffer any pain, Lydia, and will have eternal peace and love. R.I.P. • Saddened to hear of Lydia's death. Soft spoken, she quickly attracted friends wherever she went. It was my good fortune that Lydia chose to move with me from the Manitoba Hospital Commission to Management Committee of Cabinet to Manitoba Telephone System spanning some thirty years Rest in Peace Lydia. - Posted by: Gordon Holland (Friend) on: Apr 27, 2022
