It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Fischer on the evening of Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the age of 86 years. Bob was born in the former Rural Municipality of Saskatchewan, Manitoba on April 19, 1936. Bob was the youngest of five children born to Charles and Christina Fischer. He married Shirley in 1957, and moved to Calgary, Alberta to raise their six children in 1960. Bob's career took him all over North America as a professional tour bus driver, something he loved to do. He loved to vacation in Puerto Vallarta and had made many local friendships there. In 2000, he retired and in 2006, Bob and Shirley moved back to Brandon, Manitoba. Bob loved to listen to music, especially Merle Haggard, right up until he passed. Left to cherish Bob's memory are his wife Shirley; children and their spouses Terry (Naomi), Peggy, Kim (Barry), Wendy (Tim), Brenda (Dick) and Darlene (Ron); grandchildren Michael, Shauna, Crystal, Travis, Kyle, Nicole and Karlee; great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Kolt, Vander, Banks, Evan, Brendan, Brody, Nash and Zoey; and his sister Helen Watson. The family will cherish Bob's memory privately.
