We we so very sad and heartbroken to hear of Monique's passing. Monique, Claire and I grew up together in St. Boniface and were like sisters. We spent many wonderful years with her and her beautiful family. After our dad passed away, Mr. & Mrs. Deschenes (angels on earth) took us on outings with their kids all the time. They were a GODsend to us and our mother. We will never be able to express our gratitude to them and Monique, Lynne and Marc for including us and making us feel like family. Rest in peace dear friend. Much love to all the Deschenes family and deepest sympathies to you and Gilles. - Posted by: Cec and Claire (friends) on: Jul 25, 2022

Our deepest condolences on the passing of Monique. We first met Monique as our son's (Nicholas) educational assistant in HS Paul School, and she became a friend to our family. She was a kind and compassionate EA who offered guidance and care to our son, and was very supportive and collaborative with parents. God bless her soul and her family. - Posted by: Agnes and Arnel Pagtakhan (Friend) on: Jul 19, 2022

Message from my family in Ontario, Canada to give our condolences and our deepest sympathies on the passing of dear cousin Monique. (From Therese) I have memories of us spending time together as young girls growing up and of also working together at our first jobs. Later when Monique was married we enjoyed coming to Winnipeg to visit her and her family. We will miss her deeply. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Monique at Victor H.L. Wyatt and H.S. Paul Schools. Monique was a highly respected coworker. I will always remember her kindness and the laughter we shared. Monique’s genuine care and guidance were the cornerstones in helping many students grow and develop. To her family, my sincere condolences. - Posted by: Yvonne Laporte Marshall (Colleague from Louis Riel School Division) on: Jul 17, 2022

Dearest Monique, You were such a wonderful lady, friend and a real Trooper! You never complained with all the pain & discomfort you endured. I have very fond memories of you that I will treasure forever…..our Tim’s coffee dates, our shopping sprees at the Nygard Outlet store, our Chicken Chef lunches & walks, spending time together with our children & family. I hope the Ice Capps that you enjoyed so much are plentiful in heaven! Sure going to miss you, however realize that you are in a better place. We will meet up again one day.
