BRIAN VICTOR JOHN KEELEY
Brian Victor John Keeley, 82, of Winnipeg, Canada passed away at Riverview Care Home on July 7, 2022 in his sleep.
He was born February 24, 1940 in Horsham, Sussex, England to mother Dorothy and father Percival. At aged six, they immigrated to and settled in Canada where he lived for the rest of his life.
As a young man, he worked in various jobs including work up north on the DEW line, construction on Winnipeg staples like the Richardson Building, and with CN Rail, carrying on the tradition of railway work that ran in his family.
Brian always kept busy and enjoyed sitting for coffee at Tim Horton's or helping neighbours, friends or his family with odd jobs around their homes. He was always there to provide a ride or laugh to his granddaughters and great-granddaughters and will be truly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Esther (née Bendoreiter) and his three children, Barry (Carole), Coreena (Vern), and Roxanne, along with siblings, Hugh Keeley, Debbie Schmidt, Sylvia Sullivan, three granddaughters and two great- granddaughters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with gathering will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery. Immediate friends and family only.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lung Association in memory of Brian.
