Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Lucia, I was so sorry to read of Byron's passing. Our families go way back and it is so sad when we lose someone. It seems like only yesterday that we attended your wedding social...I hope you can take comfort in the years you and Byron had together and that Laura and Brittany cherish their memories of their Dad as well. There are no words that can get you through this difficult time. Know that you are in my thoughts and sending you condolences on behalf of myself and the Zarrillo family. - Posted by: Diana Bohun (nee Zarrillo) (Family Friend) on: Sep 01, 2022

  • Dear Lucia, I am so sorry to hear of your loss and give my utmost condolences to you and your family at this time. - Posted by: Gabby (Lifetime Friend of Lucia) on: Aug 30, 2022

  • My sincerest condolences to Lucia and her family. Donna Potenza - Posted by: Donna Potenza (Extended family ) on: Aug 30, 2022

  • We are absolutely gutted with the loss of Iron Byron. He was one of the fiercest boxers I have had the privilege of coaching. He was unstoppable, energetic and kept me on my toes with his humour. He was one of my favorite bag partners. He definitely made me the coach I am today. He had the most incredible travel journeys and I know meeting his grandson was of the utmost importance to him. We take condolences that he is no longer in pain, but the world is certainly not as bright without him. He will be dearly missed. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with his family. • I stand in a long line of people who are proud to have called Byron “friend”. He was an inspiration to us all and I’m sure gonna miss him. He truly was one of a kind. Godspeed B. - Posted by: Earl Toews (Friend) on: Aug 27, 2022

  • My deepest sympathies to Lois, Ted wife Lucia and families. The thought of Byron's passing brings me much sadness. He is my age and I remember playing with him at your home in the big city. My fondest memory although slightly foggy is of Byron teaching me how to roller skate. That was back when the skates were strapped onto your shoes. I remember your driveway having a bit of a slope which was very scary as it gave me much unneeded momentum to turn at the bottom onto the street. Although it has been years since I saw him, he still holds a special place in my heart and he will be missed by many people. Love and prayers Debbie - Posted by: Debbie Schroeder (Friesen) (cousin) on: Aug 27, 2022
