December 11, 1959 - September 3, 2022
André died peacefully, at the age of 62, at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface.
He will be sadly missed by his siblings, Jeanne D'arc Thibert, Diane Schipper, Germain (Michelle), Yvan (Louise), Claire, Louis, Yvette (Jim) Stevenson, and Annette, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. André was predeceased by his parents, Noé and Rolande, his sister Laura, brothers-in-law, Theodore Schipper, Guy Thibert, and Larry Tarasenco, niece Nicole Gallant, and great-nephew Mavrick Gallant.
André was the seventh child in a family of ten. He grew up full of life enjoying his hockey, music, and being a social butterfly until the age of 14 when an accident altered his life forever. His parents cared for him at home until they were no longer able to. In 2000, he moved to Actionmarguerite St. Boniface where it became his forever home.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff members for the excellent care and compassion they have shown André over the years, especially to Cheryl, Kavi, and the entire staff on 2C.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Cathedrale, 190 ave de la Cathedrale, Winnipeg, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Actionmarguerite (St. Boniface), 185 Despins St., Winnipeg, MB, R2H 2B3.
Rest in Peace André.

My sincere condolences to the family of André. He and I use to spend hours on the ice skating and practising hockey on the outdoor rink at Notre-Dame communuity centre. We were on the same team and not the best skaters at first but we both kept at it becoming good skaters and players. André was better then me... boy he could really fly. Hey André, how could it be that when I think of you, I only see the light in your eyes and smile and hear your laughter dazzle too? I knew Andre for many years inside of Tache & outside of Tache. (Action Marguerite). We had lots of laughs and enjoyed his laugh.My heart goes out to all of his family Especially his sister, my friend!!
