DARLENE (DEE DEE) CYR
November 28, 1943 - September 14, 2022
Peacefully at Sunnywood Manor, with her family by her side, Darlene passed away.
Our wife, mother, grandmother and sister is survived by her daughter Kim (Neil), and her one and only granddaughter Chelsea Rae, she called her Chel. She is also survived by two brothers, Ted (Cheryl) Pichor and Max (Kathy) Pichor, sisters in-law Cathy Danyluk and Shirley Cyr, brother in-law Ken (Sharon) Cyr, sister-in-law Irene Kemball and close friend Judy Leroy, as well as many nieces, nephews and godchildren, too many to mention.
She was predeceased by her husband Ernie, daughter Sharol and brother Eddie.
Mom married the love of her life at 18. They had 53 years together and did everything together until Dad's passing. She worked at The Bay/Northern Store for many years until her retirement. She was known as the "Bologna Wrapper" and was proud of it. She was a strong, vocal lady with a heart of gold. She loved to cook and have people over for wine and socializing; it's 5 o'clock somewhere.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Cemetery, Broadlands.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)
Our condolences to you and family. We knew Darlene and Ernest from our trailer park many years ago. Always called them our Pine Falls people. They enjoyed good times and good laughs and was a pleasure knowing them. - Posted by: Tanis & Hans Goretzki (Lake ) on: Oct 29, 2022

I was fortunate enough to meet both Ernie and Darlene in the 1960s when I was a small boy growing up on Poplar Street. Ernie worked with my father and we were always good friends and Darlene always had a positive and friendly word for me which was much appreciated to this day. I mostly remember spending time with her and Ernie in the legion Hall or the curling club in pine falls. Many many happy memories I will remember to my last day. Yes fond memories of Darlene at the meat shop in the bay downtown my favorite and still is was the spiced turkey loaf and Darlene always knew when she saw me coming exactly what I wanted. Condolences to Kim, Max, Ted and extended family, most respectfully Gary DeLuca - Posted by: Gary DeLuca (Friend ) on: Sep 17, 2022
